Our Authors - The People Behind the Pages
At book wrapt, we believe books are just the beginning of the story.
We love nothing more than bringing our community face to face with the brilliant authors behind the pages.
We are incredibly proud that all of the authors we have worked with so far are local to Northamptonshire - proof that incredible writing talent is right here on our doorstep.
Here you will find all the authors we have had the privilege of working with, plus the exciting names coming to our events soon.
We were delighted to welcome both Lorna and Gareth to our Spring event earlier this year. Two brilliant Northamptonshire authors who spoke passionately about their books and the stories behind them, a real celebration of local talent.
Lorna Marlow - Finding Home Lorna joined us at our Spring event to talk about her warm and moving novel, Finding Home.
A wonderful afternoon with an author who writes straight from the heart.
Gareth Bull - Why is my Brain An Idiot Gareth brought bags of humour and honesty to our Spring event when he talked about his book, Why is my Brain An Idiot - a candid and refreshing read that had our members talking long after the night was over.
MJ Whelan - Author of Sentenced MJ joined us for our Read Between the Wines evening, bringing her love of books and storytelling to a wonderful gathering of readers. We were delighted to welcome MJ into the book wrapt community and share an evening filled with engaging conversations, thoughtful questions and a shared passion for reading.

Being amongst kindred book lovers felt like I was in a library with all my treasured books. The evening was great. I was touched by the conversations, questions and views on the available novels.
book wrapt definitely bring people together through books!”
“book wrapt events are a great platform for authors to showcase their work. I had a great experience speaking at their recent afternoon tea in front of an audience who were genuinely interested in what I had to say. The book wrapt team are friendly, welcoming and eager to support local authors. They even treated us to afternoon tea as well. With a combination of books, talks, bookish merchandise and delicious food, the book wrapt team are on to a winner and I can't wait to work with them again at future events. ”
