Read Between the Wines

A Night to Remember

What a night! Read Between The Wines was everything we hoped it would be, and more.

From the moment our guests arrived, the room was buzzing with excitement, energy and plenty of bookish conversation. It was wonderful to see everyone settling in, enjoying the evening and making new connections over good books, great wine and delicious food.

We were delighted to welcome MJ Whelan, author of Sentenced, and Lorna Marlow, author of Sisters of the Tide. Both authors brought their stories, experiences and personalities to the evening, making for a fascinating and engaging conversation.

Our guests also enjoyed a guided tasting of four Moldovan wines, accompanied by a delicious selection of cheeses, cured meats and fresh fruit.

But, as always with Book Wrapt, it was the people and the atmosphere that made the evening so special. There was laughter, conversation and a real sense of community throughout the room, exactly what we hope to create at every Book Wrapt event.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us and helped make the evening such a success. And a special thank you to MJ, Lorna and The Wine Chateau for being part of such a memorable night.

Books, wine, food and brilliant people, we couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Books & BBQ

Summer BBQ Success

Despite some very enthusiastic summer winds, our Summer BBQ on Sunday 12 July was a wonderful success. While the gazebos may have taken a bit of a battering, the atmosphere certainly didn’t, if anything, it added to the charm of a truly memorable afternoon.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming setting, filled with delicious food, great conversation, and a shared love of coming together. From the first arrivals to the final goodbyes, the day was full of laughter, connection, and community spirit.

It was especially lovely to see so many people leaving with not just full bellies, but also new friendships and new stories to take away with them, which is exactly what Book Wrapt is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

Spring Afternoon Tea Recap

A Spring Afternoon to Remember

There are moments when everything just comes together… and our Spring Afternoon Tea was exactly that.

From the moment guests arrived, there was a real buzz in the room, the kind that only happens when you bring together a group of people who share a genuine love of books, conversation, and a little bit of indulgence.

Tables were filled with beautiful treats, cups of tea (and a few glasses of something a little stronger!), and most importantly, brilliant conversation. Books were shared, recommendations were swapped, and new connections were made.

And that’s exactly what book wrapt is all about.

More Than Just Books

What made the day so special wasn’t just the setting (although it was pretty lovely), it was the people.

Seeing guests chatting like old friends, even when they’d only just met, is something we never take for granted. There’s something incredibly powerful about a shared love of reading; it brings people together in the most natural, joyful way.

A Room Full of Book-Lovers

We were lucky enough to be joined by an amazing group of authors and readers, all bringing their own stories, perspectives, and passion into the room.

The feedback since the event has been overwhelming (in the best possible way), and we’re so grateful to everyone who came along and made it what it was.

Our First Guest Event

What a day to remember! Our very first event for invited guests was an afternoon filled with laughter, conversation & delicious food.

From the moment our guests arrived, the room was buzzing with energy. Together we shared stories, enjoyed hand crafted Italian inspired dishes, and toasted with beautiful wines, celebrating not just flavours, but friendship and connection.
