Chapters at The Charter

Chapters at The Charter is book wrapt’s monthly, laid-back book gathering designed for readers who love talking about books without rules, pressure, or required reading.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, this intimate evening takes place in the private back room at The Charter, offering a cosy, welcoming space to unwind mid-week. From 7:30–9:30pm, join fellow book lovers for relaxed conversation about what you’ve been reading, loving, abandoning, or recommending.

There’s no set book and no homework, just good discussion, gentle guidance, and the joy of sharing stories. Browse a small curated selection of books to purchase, or bring along a book to swap with other attendees.

Read Between The Wines

As the seasons begin to shift and autumn settles in, Read Between The Wines invites you to slow down, unwind, and indulge in an evening designed for true enjoyment. This signature Book Wrapt event blends the comforting pleasures of literature with the elegance of a guided wine experience, creating the perfect setting for connection, conversation, and discovery.

Join us for a beautifully curated evening featuring a tasting of four exceptional Moldovan wines, hosted by a sommelier from The Wine Chateau. Each wine has been thoughtfully selected to complement a delicious spread of cheeses, cured meats, and fresh fruit, allowing you to savour every moment.

We are delighted to welcome MJ Whelan, who will be speaking about her compelling novel Sentenced, alongside Lorna Marlow, who will be joining us to discuss her new book Sisters of the Tide and share insights into her writing journey. With two fantastic authors, this promises to be an inspiring evening for book lovers and curious minds alike.

Whether you come for the wine, the books, or simply the warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is your opportunity to pause, connect, and enjoy something a little different.

Jólabókaflód

This November, book wrapt invites families to celebrate Jólabókaflód with a joyful, relaxed winter gathering designed for all ages.

Children will enjoy a decorate-your-own edible Christmas tree decoration, while parents can unwind in a cosy, welcoming environment filled with books, festive cheer, and unhurried moments. It’s a celebration of togetherness, creativity, and the simple pleasure of slowing down at the most magical time of year.
