Chapters at The Charter

Chapters at The Charter is book wrapt’s monthly, laid-back book gathering designed for readers who love talking about books without rules, pressure, or required reading.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, this intimate evening takes place in the private back room at The Charter, offering a cosy, welcoming space to unwind mid-week. From 7:30–9:30pm, join fellow book lovers for relaxed conversation about what you’ve been reading, loving, abandoning, or recommending.

There’s no set book and no homework, just good discussion, gentle guidance, and the joy of sharing stories. Browse a small curated selection of books to purchase, or bring along a book to swap with other attendees.

Join us for an easy, informal way to connect over books.

A Summer Gathering with Sue Moorcroft

We’re delighted to invite you to our summer book wrapt event, an afternoon of books, conversation and a delicious seasonal BBQ in beautiful surroundings.

Join us on Sunday 12th July, 1–4pm at Desborough Cricket Club, West Lodge Farm for a relaxed and welcoming literary escape.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sue Moorcroft as our guest author. Sue will be joining us to talk about her latest release, 'Secrets of the Italian Guesthouse', share insights into her writing journey, and meet readers in an intimate, friendly setting.

Hosted at the Desborough Cricket Club, with access to outdoor space, a bar, and cosy corners to read and unwind.

As summer fades and autumn begins, Read Between The Wines invites you to pause, reflect, and settle into the quieter pleasures of the season. This refined book wrapt gathering is designed for unhurried conversation, carefully chosen books, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We are excited to announce our first confirmed authour for the event. MJ Whelan will be with us for the evening to speak about her wonderful book, Sentenced.

Jólabókaflód

This December, book wrapt invites families to celebrate Jólabókaflód with a joyful, relaxed winter gathering designed for all ages.

Children will enjoy a decorate-your-own edible Christmas tree decoration, while parents can unwind in a cosy, welcoming environment filled with books, festive cheer, and unhurried moments. It’s a celebration of togetherness, creativity, and the simple pleasure of slowing down at the most magical time of year.
